Planning an event can often times be an expensive ordeal. In addition to buying all of the food and decorations, you also have to purchase party favors. An inexpensive way to provide party favors at your event is to utilize plates and napkins. Here are a few artistic ways that you can turn your party plates and napkins into creative party favors and decorations.
- Fortune Napkins – A fun way to turn your napkins into a party favor is to have fortunes printed onto the center of the napkins. When your guests unfold their napkins, they will see their fortune.

Football season is coming to an end and that means two things, 1) we all get our boyfriends/husbands back until NBA finals, and 2) we get to plan a superbowl party, which is what I’m most excited about. I am not the type of person that follows football all season long, but when it comes to the superbowl I get pumped to throw the party all my friends come to.
For those ladies who do not know anything about football or the superbowl, here is some background information you can surprise you partner with. On Sunday, February 7 at 6:00pm the New Orleans Saint will be playing the Indianapolis Colts. This is the first year the Saints have made it to the superbowl, and on the other hand, the Colts just won the superbowl in 2007 against Chicago Bears (29-17). Carrie Underwood will be singing the Nation Anthem this year and America the Beautiful will be sang by Queen Latifah.
Now for what we are all interested in, some superbowl party tips. My number one tip for this event is to think like a man but add a girly touch. Don’t overdo it with the shopping and decorations, because men don’t care about too many things other than the game, the beverages, and what’s going into their stomachs, but we will add a hint of girl to the party, without the men realizing it.

My suggestion for a fun, inexpensive, girl’s night in is a “Clothes Swap”.
You might have seen it on the show Giuliana and Bill on the E channel network. The main concept behind this home-hosted event is to go through your wardrobe and find articles of clothes you either outgrown or find yourself not wearing anymore. If you happen to find other things in your closet you don’t feel attached to anymore feel free to add that to the mix such as, handbags, jewelry, shoes, hats, and belts. You then invite your girlfriends (they do not need to know each other) and ask them to do the same with their clothes and accessories. Read the rest of this entry »
Having people over for a dinner party, no matter the size, can get quite costly due to the food, beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), table centerpieces, and at times entertainment. Good news is I have a few ideas to personalize your dinner party without emptying your wallet. I always think it is important to personalize your events because your guests will see the extra little things done and really appreciate it.
Table Labeling: Creatively tell your guests where to sit
• One method you can do is use the fork they will be eating with and print off cute little name tags on the computer. After cutting the names you typed up you then weave the tag into the fork. Once you’re finished you can decide to put the fork on top of or next to the dinner plate. Read the rest of this entry »
