The Best Gift Idea For Your Significant Other
03.01.10
Valentine’s Day just past and I must brag- I gave my boyfriend the best gift I could ever give without actually buying him something. Many people get caught up in the holiday and spend lots of money on their significant other, but since Josh and I just moved in we are trying to budget. Therefore, this year we decided to do something for each other as opposed to buying a present. With that proposal, my mind needed to pump out creative juices, and I must say it did. The gift I gave Josh was a children’s story about our relationship.
Anyone that knows anything about our relationship knows it truly is a story. So, with that, I wrote a story about how we met, our dating obstacles, and how we ended up together, which was dedicated to our future children. That way, one day we can show them what true love is and if you work hard enough at it, a relationship really can succeed.
My proposition to you is make a story book for your boyfriend or husband for your anniversary, Father’s Day, or next Valentine’s Day. It is a great way to reminisce on your past and reflect on your future. Whether you have been dating for years, like Josh and I have, or are newlyweds, or even better, been married for years with children, this is a great, creative way to show your other how much you love him and adore the relationship you two have.
What were some of the gifts you gave to your “other” this past Valentine’s Day?

This really is a great idea! This past Valentine’s Day my honey and I just spent some quality time together cooking, watching movies and all that cute stuff we normally do not have a lot of time to do. It is so much better than giving material things.
This is a really great idea. I love sentimental gifts that will last long after my memory fades! LOL!
