4 Creative Ways To Display Pictures At Your Event

02.24.10

A good way to entertain your guests at your next event is to display photos! You could easily just pass around photos to your guests but its more fun to come up with unique ways to display your pictures instead. Here are a few creative ways to accomplish this:

Try using a digital frame. It is a great way to easily display a number of photos at once. You can download digital photos from your computer or camera directly onto the memory card that you insert into the digital frame. Choose pictures that will go along with the type of event you are hosting. You can either hang the frame or set it on a table for your guests to view.

Coasters that contain a place where you can insert your own photos are another good way to show off your photos. This is good if you want to re-use them and put different pictures in them for another event, or you can get them custom-made from an online photo site such as Snapfish.

Another unique way to display your photos are on candy! You can order customized candies from M&Ms with your own pictures. You can even choose the color and the message to go along with the picture you want displayed on it. Because only one picture can go in a bag of candy, you should order many bags with different pictures then mix them up and place bowls of M&Ms around the house.

The most common but still unique way to display your photos at an event is to use photobooks. Photo albums and scrapbooks are a very personalized and creative way to share pictures with your guests. Place a book on various tables around your event and allow guests to flip through the pages as they munch and mingle.

What ways have you used to display pictures at your events?

I have always loved “clothes line” of pictures. You can then have your guests write their favorite memory about the couple (if it is a wedding or anniversary party), or the person (if it is a birthday party), etc. They then hang the memories with clothes pins next to the pictures.

At our Wedding Rehersal Dinner, we had balloon certerpieces. The balloons were high enough not to interfer with conversation and sticking out of the weights, at variour heights, were holders (from the local florist) and rather than cards, we placed old photos (of the bride and groom.) This really helped to encourage mingling between the two families, beacuse everyone was curious to see the photos at the other tables.
