Five Inexpensive Ways To Spice Up Your Table

03.03.10

Are you having an engagement party, rehearsal dinner or wedding reception? Here are five inexpensive ways to spice up your table at your next event!

  1. Adorn water glasses at each place setting with a flower or a wedge of lemon and lime. Tiny details such as this can play a huge role in the overall look of your table!
  2. In order to add height to centerpieces or food tables, flip small bowls upside down and use them as pedestals for larger bowls. This way, you won’t have to buy new pedestal bowls or cake stands.
  3. Try using chic, high quality gift-wrap to create a decorative table runner
  4. Use the “layer rule” to bring attention to your place settings, but choose things that are budget-friendly. Set a patterned or contrast-colored salad plate on top of neutral dinner plates, then top salad plates with napkins and a decorative element such as a large flower bloom, cinnamon stick, party favor, or unique place card.
  5. Instead of buying expensive fresh flower arrangements, try filling large glass vases or bowls with inexpensive, yet interesting filler elements, such as colorful glass ornaments, fresh cranberries, feathers, or modern potpourri/decorative ball.
