Trying to Loose Weight Before a Big Event? Dance The Weight Off!
04.05.10
Women are always looking for ways to lose weight, especially before the wedding. How many of us have tried the South Beach Diet, Atkins Diet, and/or Acai Berry pills to look “our best” for the big day? No matter which one you have tried or even thought about trying there is one major thing you are failing to see. In order to lose weight and maintain the weight loss, you need to make a lifestyle difference. Meaning, don’t just diet for a few months and believe your weight is going to maintain off, instead do something fun and entertaining so keeping weight off isn’t as difficult.
My suggestion to you is take dance classes. There are various dance classes you can take: salsa, swing, line dancing are just a few examples. You will go to class once a week for about an hour but then go out social dancing on weekends which is where most of your weight will be lost. You can also use this as a two-for-one deal. Get your fiancé to sign up with you and take dance classes so you can show your new found skills the day of your wedding. You will look fabulous and your guests will love the treat given by you and your new husband.
Below are some dance studios you can contact in the local Atlanta area and each specialize in something difference.
I want to hear about all your new dance steps!

Oww oww! That is one hot mama! Love the pic and love your ideas here!!! Dancing definitely = fun + stress reducer + weight loss. Just what I need after eating for 12 hours straight on Easter. You know what I’ll be doing tonight after work!
I did Ballet for 22 yrs and I can testify that dancing does the body good! I probably should start ballet again

I think I better get moving on looking for some salsa classes then. May take a little convincing to get the hubby to go with me though. Great post!
